This is the first year of the Key Stage Two curriculum where children begin their weekly French lessons. Key skills in reading and maths are built upon and extended through morning lessons. In the afternoons, children start the new programme of study for all the foundation subjects, introducing them to a wider range of topics, developing their knowledge, skills and inquisitive nature. The children are also excited to participate in weekly swimming lessons during one term and have whole class music ensemble lessons for one term, learning a new instrument with a specialist teacher from Gloucestershire Music.
